SMART CONNECTED DEVICES
The Smart Connected Devices (SCD) market continues to experience strong and sustained growth, driven by rapid digitalisation, increasing connectivity, and rising consumer demand for intelligent, interoperable devices. Globally, billions of smart connected devices are now shipped annually, with volumes continuing to grow year on year. The market is estimated to be worth over USD 600 billion in the mid-2020s, with projections indicating it will surpass USD 1 trillion by the early 2030s, supported by a solid compound annual growth rate in the high single-digit to low double-digit range.
This sector spans a wide range of technologies, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearables, health and fitness trackers, smartwatches, and smart eyewear, as well as an expanding ecosystem of connected accessories and peripherals. Innovation in areas such as fast charging, data transfer, audio-visual connectivity, and device interoperability continues to drive demand across consumer, enterprise, and healthcare segments.
Rapid Conn has been working closely with a diverse portfolio of SCD customers to support the scale, speed, and technical demands of this fast-moving industry. We provide customised cable and connector solutions, including data, charging, and audio-visual cables, as well as HDMI (Type-A, Type-C and Type-D) and USB (Type-A, Type-C and Micro-B) solutions. Rapid Conn is also MFi-certified, enabling us to manufacture Apple-approved Lightning cables compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices.
In addition, our R&D team has developed a universal charging docking station, known as UniCharge, designed to charge multiple types of smart connected devices from a single station. UniCharge supports Android, iOS, and Windows platforms, offering flexibility and convenience for both consumer and commercial environments. A pipeline of future-ready products has already been conceptualised within the UniCharge docking station family, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and long-term growth in the smart connected ecosystem.

SMART CONNECTED DEVICES – SMART WEARABLES
The smart wearable device segment has emerged as one of the most dynamic and influential categories within the connected technology landscape. As wearables continue to integrate more deeply into everyday life — from health monitoring and fitness tracking to communication and productivity — the demand for reliable, compact, and durable hardware solutions continues to grow.
Rapid Conn works closely with leading players in the wearable technology space to design and customise specialised cable and connector solutions tailored to the unique requirements of smart wearable devices. These include water-resistant magnetic charging cables and custom-engineered connectors that support performance, safety, and long-term reliability. Through these capabilities, Rapid Conn is well positioned to support the continued evolution and expansion of the smart wearable ecosystem.
SMART CONNECTED DEVICES – MOBILE ACCESSORIES
Smartphone accessories remain a core and enduring segment within the connected devices ecosystem, encompassing essential components such as cables and connectors — including Lightning cables, HDMI (Type-A, Type-C and Type-D), and USB (Type-A, Micro-B and Type-C). As smartphones continue to evolve in functionality and performance, demand for high-quality, compliant, and reliable accessories continues to grow.
To strengthen our capabilities and expertise in this sector, Rapid Conn achieved MFi (Made for iPhone, iPad and iPod) certification, enabling us to manufacture Apple-approved accessories that meet stringent performance and quality standards. Over the years, we have built strong working partnerships with contract manufacturers (CMs) and key suppliers across the mobile device supply chain, supporting a wide range of global smartphone and smart device manufacturers.
